What is deflection track in a cold-formed steel (CFS) stud wall?

What will be an ideal response?

Deflection track is used as top track in a CFS stud wall. It is deeper than a regular track, i.e., its flanges are much bigger than those of a regular track. This allows the overhead floor or roof to move up and down without transferring any load on wall studs below.
