Why can't you give type A blood to a type B person?
What will be an ideal response?
Red blood cells have glycoproteins (agglutinogens) on their surface (with the exception of type O cells) that identify the blood type. Type A cells have type A glycoproteins. A type B person will have anti-A antibodies (agglutinins) that will attack type A cells when introduced into the body because the proteins are foreign to the recipient.
