What are the characteristics and differences between constructive and destructive conflicts?

What will be an ideal response?

Constructive conflict is characterized by cooperation in dealing with differences. By
airing differences, partners gain new insights and create relational adjustments that
establish new and satisfying patterns of behavior. Destructive conflict is characterized
by the lack of flexibility and a win-lose perspective that inhibits options for managing
differences. In a destructive conflict one or both of the partners is dissatisfied with the
outcome. A destructive conflict tears a relationship apart without trying to put it back
together again
