Briefly describe candida and prostatitis.

What will be an ideal response?

Candida (Moniliasis) is a form of vaginitis caused by the yeast fungus Candida, which is normally present in the vagina. If the delicate environmental balance is disturbed, the growth of Candida can get out of control. It is not a sexually transmitted infection, but intercourse may aggravate it. Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate gland, which is often caused by the bacterium E.coli. It can also be caused by gonorrhea or chlamydia. The symptoms are fever, chills, pain around the anus and rectum, and a need for frequent urination. It may produce sexual dysfunction, typically painful ejaculation. In some cases, prostatitis may be chronic and may have no symptoms.
