List and define the four types of norms regulating the selection of marriage mates

What will be an ideal response?

Exogamous norms require individuals to marry someone outside their kind (some of these norms are incest taboos). Endogamous norms encourage individuals to marry within their own kind (often related to matters of race, ethnicity, social class, and religion). Homogamy is the tendency to marry someone like oneself, based on personal preferences. Finally, heterogamy is the tendency to marry someone who is different in some important respects.
