Choose one level of the ADAPT Framework and specifically explain what the focus of the steps, what examples and strategies are suggested, and indicate how those strategies could assist a teacher in preparing to work with students?
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: Answers to this question will vary but should include elements of the following: Choose one of the five steps, describe strategies from that step, and indicate how those strategies would help a teacher. Example: The second step is D, which stands for determining the prerequisite skills of the task. This step focuses on students meeting the instructional goals set forth by the teacher. Teachers can break down the task to determine what prior knowledge is needed to support the task. This process allows teachers to assure that the class is ready for the new task, as the prerequisite skills needed to be successful are reviewed. In addition, the focus on identifying prerequisite skills ensures that the teacher has thought through the task and has not overlooked areas of need and topics that need to be taught again in preparation for the new task.
