Physicians sometimes use media to describe a procedure or educate the patient about his or her care and treatment. Explain how this might be accomplished. What benefit does this have?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers may vary, but, generally, physicians may send a CD or DVD home with the patient that includes information about a condition, a procedure, or discharge instructions; may have the patient go to a website to do so; or have the patient watch a video or view a website from the office. By doing this, the physician is sure that all patients are receiving the same patient education about a procedure or a condition.
