What is status leveling? Explain and give an example

What will be an ideal response?

Examples will vary.
Status leveling refers to the fact that, before CMC, gatekeepers like receptionists and secretaries controlled access to the boss. Now, anyone can have instant access to superiors.
For example, if I wanted to e-mail the president of our college/university, I can simply send him an e-mail; I do not have to see his secretary and make an appointment.
