Use May's concepts of alienation and the human dilemma to explain Colleen's college experiences.

What will be an ideal response?

Alienation, according to May is feeling separate from any of the three modes of existence: umwelt, mitwelt, or eigenwelt, i.e., feeling separate from physical nature, other people or from yourself, respectively. Colleen, obviously, is feeling separate from others. For May, the human dilemma is the idea that we can see ourselves both subjectively and objectively. Colleen is able to experience both subjective feelings of estrangement from her fellow students and also view those experiences objectively by thinking about and analyzing them almost as though they are happening to another person.
