What will be an ideal response?
Any five of the following: (1) Begin the bargaining with a positive overture or small concession and then reciprocate the opponent's concessions. (2) Concentrate on the negotiations issues and situational factors, not on the opponent. (3) Try to determine the opponent's strategy by looking below the surface. (4) Do not allow accountability to your constituents or surveillance by them to produce competitive bargaining. (5) If you have power in a negotiation, use it. (6) Be open to accepting third-party assistance. (7) Attend to the environment; be aware that the opponent's behavior and power are altered by it.
