Define and briefly discuss subgroups.
What will be an ideal response?
Subgroups as groups that are smaller than cultures, but have similar communication dynamics as cultures and also are characterized by an identifiable distinction and by shared interests and values. Further, they are not necessarily thought of as transmitting values and patterns of behavior over generations in the same way as cultures. Existing within cultures, subgroups do provide members with patterns of behavior.
