Describe the traditional three-stage memory model
ANSWER:
The traditional memory model is arranged in terms of Stage I (sensory memory), Stage II (short-term memory), and Stage III (long-term memory). Stage 1 holds memory traces from all our senses for a very brief period of time until they are either not given attention and lost, or given additional attention and sent onto short-term memory. Stage II short-term memory is a limited storage facility from which we may refresh, modify, or let loose of information. Information transferred into Stage III, long-term memory, is designated for permanent storage as episodic, semantic, or procedural traces.?
