Companies rely on employees to operate their business, produce high-quality products or services, meet the needs of customers, and help make a profit. Be courteous to others—customers, workers, and your boss. Be productive, punctual, and reliable. Follow health, safety, and security rules. Behave ethically and, especially, follow the employer’s code of conduct.

Employees expect to be paid for their work; have a safe, healthy work environment; be given the equipment and supplies they need to do their jobs; and have an immediate manager who provides just enough direction and support to do the job. Many employees also seek additional training and development on the job so that they can improve their skills.
