What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Answer would ideally include: Mixed-methods research designs focus on the duality of data collection, analysis, and interpretation. However, much more complex models for integrating aspects of quantitative and qualitative research also exist. These are known as mixed-model studies--as opposed to mixed-methods studies--and typically involve the mixing of quantitative and qualitative approaches to research in three areas of the research process: (1) the type of investigation--confirmatory (typically quantitative) versus exploratory (typically qualitative); (2) quantitative data collection and designs versus qualitative data collection and designs; and (3) statistical analysis and inference versus qualitative analysis and inference
