Explain what a curtain wall is.

What will be an ideal response?

A curtain wall can only be used with a building with a frame structure, not with a load-bearing wall structure. Like a curtain, a curtain wall: (i) covers the structural frame of the building and (ii) is directly suspended from it. (iii) The lateral and gravity loads from the curtain wall are transferred directly to the building's structural frame.
