Summarize the major events that occur in synaptogenesis.

What will be an ideal response?

Synapse formation involves an initial contact between an axon terminal and a dendrite. This contact develops into an early synapse, and signals may cross it. If regular signally occurs, this synapse matures, and if signals do not regularly occur than this synapse will apoptose. Apoptosis is the synaptic pruning that eliminates unneeded synaptic connections.
