Why is it easier to cut paper with sharp scissors than to use dull scissors?
What will be an ideal response?
The amount of pressure necessary to cut the paper is the same for both pairs of scissors. The sharp scissors have a smaller area in contact with the paper and therefore require less force to cut the paper. Remember, p = f/a.
