Advertisers generate a large proportion of Google’s revenues. To what extent is Google managing or ignoring the interests of this important stakeholder group?

What will be an ideal response?

There is no doubt a wide range of technical and commercial interactions between advertisers and
Google that casual users are unaware of. Moreover, by continuing refining its search algorithms and
marketing services more generally, Google tries to enhance the ‘bang for the buck’ that advertisers
receive. So it would be wrong to conclude that it ignores advertisers, but as in the cases referred to in
question 7, it would seem that Google gains little from stressing this stakeholder group in public
statements.
