Alcohol consumption causes peripheral vasoconstriction. Why is drinking wine in a hot tub not advised?

What will be an ideal response?

Vasoconstriction in the skin decreases the amount of warm blood brought near the body's surface and, thus, reduces the amount of heat lost to the external environment. If the heated water is warmer than the body, then the body will absorb heat from the water. Since the alcohol may be promoting vasoconstriction in the skin, more heat is kept deeper in the body, which contributes to a faster rise in internal body temperature. The person could experience a dangerous elevation in body temperature as a result.
