Explain the difference between politically based and developmentally based incentives. Give an example for each.

What will be an ideal response?

Politically based incentives usually involve a country providing foreign aid to another country to promote democracy. For example, the European Union might give aid to a member state to promote the development of democracy in that state. Developmentally based incentives involve a country giving aid to promote the quality of life or the delivery of basic human services in another country. For example, the United Kingdom might give aid for the construction of an irrigation system in a country.
