Explain with an example how attitude specificity affects attitude-behavior correspondence.

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary. Individuals possess both general and specific attitudes. You may favor a woman's right to reproductive freedom (a general attitude) and prefer prochoice political candidates (a specific attitude) without attending pro-choice rallies or donating to Planned Parenthood. That you don't perform these behaviors appears to weaken the link between your attitude and behaviors. However, given a choice between a prochoice and an anti-abortion political candidate, you will probably vote for the pro-choice candidate. In this case, your attitude seems quite predictive of your behavior. The more specific the attitude, the stronger is its link to behavior. Please see the section "Attitude Formation" for more information.
