Describe the way a wave moves and what wave speed measures. What will be an ideal response?

When the wave moves across a water surface, the water molecules move in circular orbits with little or
no net forward movement. The wave form moves forward because it transfers energy in the direction
of wave movement. A measure of wave velocity is of the wave form, not the water molecules.
