What is The Theory of the Authoritarian Personality? Are people from authoritarian families more or less likely to be prejudice?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers may vary but should include that this theory links tern, highly punitive styles of parenting in childhood with the development of prejudice and an authoritarian personality. Children of authoritarian families may appear to respect their parents but internally, they may resent them. Prejudice provides people with authoritarian personalities a way of coping with their conflicted feelings for their parents.
