Explain how a single-parent family is different from a family of origin?

What will be an ideal response?

A single-parent family is one in which there are children but only one parent caregiver, as a result of choice or unwanted outcome, such as divorce or death. A family of origin is one in which a child is born to and cared for by both parents, and in the majority of cases, that child will spend a majority of his or her childhood with one or both of them.
