In what ways has globalization marginalized women?

What will be an ideal response?

Globalization marginalizes women in four main ways. First, women receive low wages from working in export zones (which produce exports for advanced states) and other low-wage sectors. Second, the alternative to low-wage jobs in the formal economy is even lower paying work in the “ghetto” of the informal economy. Third, household work is de-emphasized in both developed and undeveloped states. Fourth, globalization destroys the environment, leading to increased hardship for women.
