How does factory farming threaten the safety of our food supply?

What will be an ideal response?

Factory farming threatens the safety of our food supply. Pesticides and fertilizers and contaminants in irrigation water are retained in crops and threaten the food supply. The factory farm model was instituted not just for crops but for meat as well. Cattle, pigs, poultry, and other animals treated as though they are simply parts on a food supply assembly line, kept in close quarters, hooked to machines and trapped in cages experience stress. This is not only inhumane, but unhealthy for them (causing stress and decreasing their immune responses) which becomes unhealthy for people.
