What is Code Adam?
What will be an ideal response?
Code Adam is a “missing child” program that was implemented in the United States and Canada. The program was initially created in 1994 by Walmart retail stores. It is named in memory of Adam Walsh, the 6-year-old son of John Walsh (the host of Fox Network’s America’s Most Wanted). In 1981, Adam was abducted from a Sears department store in Florida and was later found brutally murdered.
Walmart, along with the NCMEC and the departments of several state attorney generals, have offered to assist in training workshops for other companies to implement the program.
