How were Neanderthals different from modern humans?


Neanderthal skulls were long and low with heavy brow ridges, a projecting mouth, and a receding chin. Their brain was slightly larger but differently shaped. The Neanderthal body was massive and more heavily muscled with rather short lower limbs.
