Task-Centered Practice
Educate the client about the nature of the task-centered process and elicit his or her commitment to the process
Identify one or two goals for each problem elicited in the assessment.
Set one or more sub goals (objectives) for each goal statement
Specify and write down the tasks that each of you agrees to undertake between this and the next session so that each sub goal is met
Review and practice with the client those behaviors, skills, or areas of knowledge that are required for task accomplishment.
Identification any obstacles that might get into the way of their abilities to complete agreed-upon tasks
Summarize the plan with the client, making sure that both parties are clear on what has been accomplished and what is expected for the next session
Make regarding his or her relationship concerns with the client
