Explain how a disability may influence peer relationships among primary aged children
What will be an ideal response?
ANSWER: The more mild and moderate disabilities are not easily diagnosed and may not be as well accepted by the other children. Children with disabilities are more easily socially accepted if they have good social skills (Kostelnik, et al., 2012). Some typical children may demonstrate prejudice they have learned. Teacher must support the children with disabilities and model accepting behavior for other children.
