Larissa had one goal in mind for the Interview stage of her Job Search Journey: follow up. Whether she was okayed to move forward to the next round of interviews or if she was rejected, she made sure to follow up in a timely fashion. If she received a positive response, she made sure to follow up with a thank you and relevant details to reinforce her qualifications and fit. If she received a

negative response, she made sure to follow up with a thank you and two quick questions about what she could do to improve her performance next time and whether the interviewer had any possible referrals for other opportunities he or she could share. Larissa felt like following up was the most positive way to deal with any situation the Job Search Journey brought her way.

What is a positive way you can handle any rejection you receive?

Possible answers include sending thank-you letters, writing a list of improvements for next time, or not relying/having expectations about a single opportunity.
