John had originally chosen the field of welding technician because he enjoyed working with his hands. Are there specific certifications or GPA that are expected? Are there certain levels of experience and internships/co-ops recommended? Is it about who you know and joining specific professional associations would benefit the job search? These types of factors should be explored.
