Chronic stress can make you sick. How?

What will be an ideal response?

While short-term stress (such as exam stress or traffic) can weaken the immune system, chronic stress (such as relationship conflict or unemployment) has even more severe effects on our health. People who experience chronic stress are more prone to illness because they are continually activating their fight-flight response. When the fight-flight response is activated, your body produces stress hormones, which suppress the immune system and make the body more susceptible to diseases, viruses, and other infections.
