Action research is often described as an “interactive spiral.” What does this mean?

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Stringer (2007), Lewin (Smith, 2007), Bachman (2001), and Riel (2007) all describe action research as a process that begins and ends with reflection: It starts by identifying a problem that has emerged after careful thought and consideration of the problems of teaching, then proceeds through the four generally accepted stages of research before ending in reflection, which then introduces a new problem to study. In this way, the process begins again just as it ends—and can therefore be described as a “spiral.”
