• Leaders, who may, or may not, be in management positions, develop a vision for the future, inspire and motivate other people within the organization.
• Dupree describes leadership as tribal in nature, focusing on symbols, rituals and culture. Management, by contrast, focuses on creating, maintaining, protecting, and perpetuating systems.
