How are the physical landscapes of the Canadian Shield different from the Appalachian Uplands in Quebec, and what geomorphic processes helped shape these two landform regions?

What will be an ideal response?

The Canadian Shield is made of some of the oldest volcanic rock, the base of ancient volcanoes eroded by continental glaciers over millions of years. The Appalachian Uplands have also been eroded by glaciation, but were formed by subduction, folding, and volcanic action at an ancient plate boundary.
