Considering the various rejections of the modern made by postmodernism "The Postmodern Condition," how does postmodernism affect you personally? Do you think any of those conditions of postmodern existence are true and in play in your life? How so? Be specific and use as much detail as possible to explain your position.
Answer: The Postmodern Condition
Explanation:
The Postmodern Condition is a book written by Jean-Francois Lyotard in the year 1979. Lyotard is against or rather criticizes the old historical narratives claiming that they do not much with the new technological progress in various ways (Silverman, 2017). Postmodernism is any idea in architecture, literature, philosophy, art among others that react against earlier modernist movement.
With the advancement in technology in various aspects of life it is only right to say that postmodernism is vital as a way of also helping creating new ideas. People cannot always rely on old technology that only served at that time. For instance, in architecture buildings built in the past were decorated, painted and highly designed only for purposes they were not meant for or rather not related to the structure and functions of the building (Dholakia & Firat, 2018).
Postmodernism has made people to rethink over past modernization and improved it to match up with current events.
