What were the results of the revolutions of 1848 in each region involved?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary. The first uprisings were in Sicily, in which street demonstrations forced the leaders of Sicily and Naples (the Kingdom of the two Sicilies) to establish a liberal constitutional government. This was followed by other rebellions throughout Italy, led by Garibaldi. In France, Louis Philippe was forced to abdicate by revolutionaries whose banned meetings took the form of massive banquets, and then took the form of street fights with police and forced the leadership out. National workshops were established, which had the effect of destabilizing society further. News of the Paris upheavals quickly reached Berlin, Vienna, and other central European cities, where liberals soon demanded similar political concessions from their rulers. In the Habsburg lands, street fighting in May forced the imperial family to abandon Vienna the country. Metternich resigned and fled the city; in Berlin, violence erupted, which resulted in a constitution issued by Fredrick William IV and followed by a series of democracy-seeking assemblies.
