Name and discuss the six typologies of rape

What will be an ideal response?

Date Rape: Occurring most often with offenders who are casually familiar with their victims before the offense. In addition to dating the offender, the victim may also be acquainted with the offender through work, school, friendship networks, on-line social networking, or some other method of personal introduction. The majority of rapes reported to authorities fall into this category. In 80 percent of data rape cases, one of the parties involved is under the influence of alcohol or drugs; in 50 percent of cases, both the victim and offender are alcohol or drug impaired. Popular date rape drugs used to seduce victims include Rohypnol (ruffies), Ketamine, and GHB. Intentional use of these drugs for purposes of seducing the victim carries harsh legal penalties. Stranger Rape: Occurring between an offender with no prior knowledge of the victim, and usually involving the use of force and/or a weapon. Between 25 and 35 percent of all rapes fall into this category. Spousal or Marital Rape: Occurring between persons who are legally married, or in a legal union. All states now have laws prohibiting nonconsensual sexual relations between spouses. Child Rape: Occurring between a legal adult and a minor child. When the offender is a parent or close relative of the child, the crime is referred to as incest. These offenses are often carried out by aunts, uncles, and grandparents as well. Nonrelatives likely to engage in this act are schoolteachers, care providers, neighbors, religious figures, and others to whom the child's care has been entrusted.
Prison Rape: Occurring between persons who are in custody within a penal institution. This act is most often brutal, resulting in serious physical injury or perhaps death to the victim. It may be perpetrated against weak inmates as a display of dominance by other inmates, but it is also used as a form of payback to victims who have not paid gambling or drug debts. Serial Rape: Occurring as an ongoing, habitual predatory act by an offender who preys on four or more separate victims on separate occasions. This act should be distinguished from multiple rape, where the offender repeatedly victimizes the same individual. Serial rape consists of any one or combination of the above classifications.
