What conclusions can be reached about national cultures based on acceptance and rejection of homosexuality?
What will be an ideal response?
According to a 2013 survey, a clear majority in the European Union believes that homosexuality should be accepted. Respondents were not accepting in Africa and in predominantly Muslim countries. Homosexuality tends to be perceived as a threat in masculine cultures and considered more as a fact of life in feminine cultures. In countries where religion is considered to be very important, where it is believed that it is necessary to believe in God to be moral and where people pray at least once a day, there is far less acceptance of homosexuality.
