What are the similarities and differences between the problem-solution organizational pattern and the problem-cause-solution organizational pattern? When would you chose one over the other?

What will be an ideal response?

A problem-solution organizational pattern focuses on persuading an audience that a problem exists, and can be solved or minimized by the solution. It has two main points, the first point specifies the problem and makes it relevant to the audience and the second point proposes a solution and may ask for passive agreement, immediate action or both. A problem-cause-solution organization identifies a problem, explains the causes, and proposes a solution.  Problem-solution organization has three main points. The first identifies a clear and relevant problem, the second identifies the relevant causes of that problem, and the third details a clear and appropriate solution to the problem.
