Schizotypal personality disorder is a consistent pattern of social problems marked by significant deficits in the ability to maintain close relationships and by distortions in thoughts and idiosyncratic behavior marked by at least five of the following: ideas of reference; abnormal beliefs or magical thinking; unusual perceptual experiences; odd thinking and speech; suspiciousness or paranoia; inappropriate emotional expression; odd, eccentric, or peculiar behavior or appearance; limited number of friends or relatives due to excessive social anxiety and paranoia.
