b. Etruscan temple design emulated Greek design to a degree; however, the Etruscan nature soon asserted itself. Temples had wooden columns and wooden roofs and the walls were sun-dried brick. The model shows the long line of the roof and the rooftop statuary. Etruscan temples were not meant to be seen as sculptural mass, but rather as a shelter for the gods.
