Compare and contrast accessory to a crime from an accomplice to a crime
What will be an ideal response?
An accomplice, as we defined the term earlier, is "one who knowingly, voluntarily and with common intent unites with the principal offender in the commission of a crime." Anyone, other than the primary offender, who participates before andduring the commission of a crime is an accomplice. An accessory is typically a participant in a crime after it is committed. Importantly, whereas the accomplice is usually charged with the underlying crime (e.g., murder or robbery), an accessory is generally charged with a less serious crime (potentially even a misdemeanor).
