Input devices enter data and commands. The commands tell a computer how to process data, such as the positioning and the spacing of the text in a document. Output devices display the results of processed data in an array of formats, including documents, graphs, sounds and pictures. A keyboard and a mouse are examples of input devices. A monitor and a printer are examples of output devices.
