What was lacking in psychodynamic, behavioral, and social theories of sexuality?
What will be an ideal response?
All of these theories took a simplistic perspective of sexuality. They didn’t consider sex differences or any other contextual factors, such as the length of the relationship or mate availability. Therefore, these perspectives tried to define general theories of sexuality, which would be independent of context and situation, and that proves to be wrong, as all of these factors appear to have strong influences. Plus, there were no explorations of motivations that guide human sexual behavior.
