Which strategy does a better job keeping large blocks available?
What will be an ideal response?
Intuition suggests that if first-fit tends to collect small blocks in low memory,
then it will also force large blocks to accumulate in high memory. This in turn
should prevent large blocks from being split into smaller ones unnecessarily.
Once again, this is a good simulation assignment, because the students will be
curious to see if their intuition is correct.
