Explain how Bluetooth works

What will be an ideal response?

Bluetooth technology operates via low-power radio waves. Communicating at the 2.45 GHz range, Bluetooth enabled devices do not require line-of-sight communications. In addition Bluetooth devices can communicate through nonmetallic materials, such as brief cases, bags, pockets, walls, and windows. Because Bluetooth devices transmit using very weak signals, approximately 1 milliwatt, they will not interfere with other wireless implementations. However, the low power range of Bluetooth also restricts the distance at which Bluetooth devices can communicate to about 30 feet or 10 meters.
