What are some costs and benefits of using nonvolatile RAM in all caches and main memory?

What will be an ideal response?


Nonvolatile RAM would most likely be more expensive than volatile RAM, and possibly a little slower. However, it would greatly benefit servers that need to be able to recover from power outages quickly, because the system could return to the state it was in before the outage.
