Explain why problem claims that are caused by errors or improper billing procedures in the medical office have an effect on future claims.
What will be an ideal response?
If administrative or billing procedures are handled improperly starting at the medical office, it is likely that the same errors will continue to be made on future claims. Until all administrative and billing procedures are being followed properly, disputing claims with the insurance carrier becomes more difficult or impossible until corrections are made in order to produce “clean claims” at the office before initial billing.
